How GrantGuard Uses AI
GrantGuard is a procurement control system with AI assistance — not an AI that decides how you spend grant funds.
AI assists analysis — it does not decide
GrantGuard uses AI to read award documents and procurement policies, describe what it found, and propose requirements and rules. People make the procurement decisions.
AI may make mistakes
Extraction can miss a clause, misread a table, or misinterpret language. Treat every AI observation as a starting point for review.
Findings require human review
AI-identified requirements and rule candidates enter a review queue. They are labelled AI Identified until an authorized person verifies them.
Sources are shown, never invented
Significant observations carry the document, page, section and excerpt they came from. When no verified source exists, GrantGuard displays SOURCE NOT VERIFIED and recommends human review instead of citing a regulation it cannot point to.
Only verified rules become controls
An AI-identified item can inform and warn. It cannot create a hard block on purchase authorization. Deterministic controls — such as a prior-approval blocker — require a verified, configured rule.
AI does not certify compliance
GrantGuard never states that a purchase is legally allowable or compliant. It reports what available award, policy and budget information appears to support, subject to the requirements identified.
AI does not approve vendors
Vendor responsibility review is a human workflow with recorded evidence. GrantGuard does not perform live government verification and does not represent vendors as government approved.
Failures do not destroy your work
If analysis fails, the document and the underlying transaction are preserved. GrantGuard shows ANALYSIS COULD NOT BE COMPLETED with options to retry, assign a reviewer, review manually, or continue the workflow.
Your data stays in your organization
AI analysis runs server-side against your organization's own records only. One organization's awards, policies, rules, purchases, documents, vendor notes and findings never appear in another organization's AI context.
GrantGuard provides procurement workflow, documentation, marketplace, and compliance-support tools. AI-generated observations and platform recommendations assist human review and do not constitute legal, accounting, audit, procurement, or regulatory advice. Organizations remain responsible for determining applicable requirements, evaluating vendors, approving purchases, and making final procurement decisions.
